‘Daredevil’ season 2: Charlie Cox would love to join ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Is it possible for a major character from the Marvel TV universe to jump over to one of the feature films? That’s not entirely clear just yet, but Charlie Cox of “Daredevil” fame is making it clear that he would love to see it happen.

Speaking to “Entertainment Tonight” about the latest season of his Netflix drama (premiering on March 18), the actor made it clear that he’d specifically love to join “The Avengers: Infinity War,” the two-part saga that will most-likely send the first film to theaters in 2018:

“[It’d love to.] But it’s not something that has been discussed with me at this point … I have no idea [if the TV universe will ever get a huge part in the movies] … Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two very different things. So even if the character was to appear in that film, that doesn’t necessarily mean that I would appear in that film.”

Obviously, we’d love to see it happen. While we’ve seen Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) play a part in the Marvel movies, the difference between him and Matt Murdock is that he was introduced into the universe through the films. Having someone who originated on TV go to the big screen is a little more rare for the MCU. If anyone could do it, it’d certainly be Cox, who is sensational in this role. The only real issue we can see is that “Daredevil” as a series would never get a PG-13 rating as a big-screen motion picture thanks to its violence; to move the character to a Marvel movie, which would certainly be PG-13, would probably require there to be a little less brutality.
