‘Outlander’ season 2: The table is set in new photo!

The second season of “Outlander” is still not going to be premiering on Starz until we get around to the spring, but at least the network was kind enough to give us a gift this Thanksgiving weekend, right?

In the image below from the show’s official Twitter account, you can see everyone sitting down for a nice dinner in France, including Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) front and center. There are some new characters featured in here, as well, but we wouldn’t consider this image much of a spoiler. You don’t get too great a sense of individual fashion, or really what is going on beyond an elaborate, intricate feast. What we can tell is that the costume designers / food artists did a wonderful job literally and figuratively setting the table.

If you’ve been away from the series for some time and need a quick refresher, season 2 is going to be set in France following Claire and Jamie’s departure from Scotland; he has family there, and they will discover a completely different world than anything that they experienced during season 1. The story becomes more political, and while they could be spared of some violence, it could arrive here in different forms. Given that this is a television series and happy endings are hard to come by, we do not presume them to be out of the woods for some time.
