‘Quantico’ spoilers: ‘Desperate Housewives’ alum Marcia Cross lands key role
Just in case you wanted to see “Quantico” get some more major star power before we make it to the end of the first season, you are in luck!
As first reported by Deadline, former “Desperate Housewives” star Marcia Cross has signed up for a key recurring role on the second half of this season, where she is set to play Caleb Haas’ mother Claire. She was at one point a prestigious FBI agent, but has transitioned into a Senator and is even thought of as a possible candidate for Vice-President. Her power is one of the reasons why we have seen some in the FBI world tiptoe around Caleb, given that he comes from a family you do not want to anger.
You are not going to see Cross for at least a little while longer on “Quantico,” but the good news is that she’s got some time before she has to turn up. The series was recently given a full-season order of 20 episodes, which means that we haven’t even come too close to the halfway point just yet.
Hopefully, this is only the beginning of getting some more big-name guest stars onto the show. While this series managed to become a solid hit for ABC right out of the gate, it is still somewhat lacking when it comes to names that the majority of viewers would be familiar with. This is almost the opposite situation of a show like “Empire,” who has so many guest stars it doesn’t need any more help.
