Is ‘Nashville’ season 4, episode 7 new tonight on ABC?

For everyone out there who is looking for a new episode of “Nashville” coming on ABC Wednesday night, a word to the wise: There is a different sort of Nashville that the major networks are focusing on in the Country Music Awards. This show, co-hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, is airing tonight and therefore preempting the Connie Britton series, which has certainly had a complicated and at-times emotional story so far.

So where are we going from here moving into the next new episode? Let’s just say that the synopsis below does a pretty good job informing you of what will be coming up when the show returns to the network in one week’s time:
