‘Sherlock’ season 4 star Benedict Cumberbatch joins Kristen Bell, more for ‘Mean Tweets’
The glory about “Mean Tweets” is that for the most part, what we get to see in these segments primarily is stars laughing off mean, sometimes-hateful remarks. It’s so much easier to do this than dwell on them. Are there a couple of people who are encouraged to write celebrities hateful tweets, hoping they get on this show? Maybe, but we cannot imagine it being a huge crowd.
This week, Kimmel is doing something different in having stars come in throughout the week to read some tweets live, and on Monday the first lineup included “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch, Kristen Bell, and Jeff Bridges. You can see the video for it below (via TV Guide), and it should give you a few laughs. If nothing else, it’s the latest dose of Cumberbatch to tide you over until we eventually get the next “Sherlock” special later this year.
As for the rest of this segment, we’ll try to share some more highlights throughout the week if there are any other interesting developments. Stay tuned!
