NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: New video of ‘Chandelier’ cover hints at big surprise

There was one reason that “The Voice” stands out superficially from all other singing shows, and it is the gimmick of it all. It’s a smart move for the show to put its coaches in a place where they are completely surprised by someone’s appearance after hearing them perform.

Unfortunately, there are not many times when we are afforded that same luxury. We do wonder what it would be like someday if the show changes things up and maybe gives you an artist’s backstory after he or she finishes their audition. It would at least give you a different perspective, and that could be a rather cool thing to have to be the in the shoes of the coaches.

We’re not sure that you are going to have that during the premiere on Monday or any other point this season, but the video below features a performance of “Chandelier” that completely makes the entire panel insane when they turn around. There has to be something really shocking about this performance to make them feel that way, and we’re going to have to see just what that is.

This is a better promo from our perspective than just the coaches doing some goofy stuff with each other, or even a blind audition exactly as it is going to be on the show. This really promotes the show by making you want to see exactly what this performance is going to be.
