‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Frameri, AirPOD Air Car, Paleo Diet Bar, Heidi Ho, and more
There are actually two repeat episodes of “Shark Tank” airing on ABC Friday, which means that we’re having to double up on our work today giving you some updates to go along with some of the products shown.
First, we’re talking here about the episode airing at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, which is for an episode that just so happened to air this past May near the end of the season. There are some interesting products in here, but other than the update on Heidi Ho (which anyone who reads this site knows we love as a concept very much), we really feel like only one of them has serious staying power.
Zero Pollution Motors – The makers of the AirPOD, a car that runs on compressed air, have a really cool idea to try to innovate how people drive. Unfortunately, we really cannot say that there have been huge strides since the end of the show. The company announced on Facebook earlier this week that they are now accepting new investors after things between them and Robert Herjavec did not work out.
Paleo Diet Bar – Given that they are coming out with new flavors we imagine that there is a market out there for us. It’s just not for us, and we remember one of the sharks’ primary concerns being that they just did not like the taste of it.
World Record Striper Company – We still hate the name, and honestly we know so little about fishing tackle to know whether or not the product is great. We do know that they are still being sold, but it feels like a small operation for the time being still months after the show.
Frameri – They did not leave the tank with an investment, but in all honesty they really didn’t need to. They still have the best website and the best overall product of the four featured tonight; there’s something unique here about interchangeable lenses, and we say this as someone who wears glasses and thinks that the idea of being to pop in different frames and designs is interesting and innovative.
