‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 11 preview: Return date speculation for Maia Mitchell series

FostersTonight, “The Fosters” season 3 will be reaching its halfway point with “Lucky,” an episode that could either serve as a source for some closure when it comes to the adoption storyline, or blow everything up in some other way. Really, a whole lot of it comes down to how the show chooses to present what Callie and Brandon decide to do after the two of them slept together at the end of last week’s episode.

We’re not going to dive too much into that here, since we are writing this before “Lucky” airs and our real focus here is trying to figure out one thing: When the show could return to ABC Family with the second half of the season.

Based on the schedule of the first two seasons, an easy assumption here is that it will turn up at some point in the middle of January. Think maybe the 11th or the 18th, unless ABC Family really wants to throw fans for a loop and try something completely different. We don’t see any real reason why they would want to, given the system at present is working and there’s not really much of a need to deviate far from that. Then again, we’ve certainly be surprised before.

One way or another, we assume that not everything tonight will be tied into a neat little bow. The major bit of news story-wise we can give you is that Jesus will have a much larger role in the second part of the season, given that the show decided to recast the character after Jake T. Austin’s exit.
