‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: ‘The Last Ship’ actor submerges in new role
Travis Van Winkle of “The Last Ship” is coming over to “Scorpion” for its upcoming second season, but rather ironically, he is going to continue playing a part that has a whole lot to do with the sea.
As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, the actor will appear in an episode of the CBS crime show as Ensign Nathan Hall, a man who gets trapped in a submarine with Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel), Happy (Jadyn Wong), and Cabe (Robert Patrick) and is forced to try to figure out how to work his way out of there. He is a smart man, hard-working and with a deep respect for what Team Scorpion does trying to save the world.
This is not the most descriptive notice for a casting that we’ve ever seen, but there is every bit of evidence in here still that this is going to be a pretty action-packed episode. Anytime you can put multiple team members in extreme peril is a good thing for entertainment; obviously, we don’t want anything terrible to happen to them, and in this case we don’t really think as though anything will.
New episodes of “Scorpion” will air starting on Monday, September 21, and right away one of the big orders of business will be seeing how the new director (Alana De La Garza) starts to influence things, and to go along with that finding out whether or not Walter and Paige can pin down what they want their relationship to be. There’s a lot to get to almost right away!
