‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ episode 2 CarterMatt Podcast: On Joe Bailey, Joshua Albers, more with Jessa

For the second week of “Bachelor in Paradise,” what we had was ultimately a rather welcome reminder that this show can at times be incredibly entertaining. There is definitely some scandal that was prevalent here throughout the episode, but we feel like it was mostly great entertainment that is far and away surpassing this past season of “The Bachelor” … and this is what this podcast is all about.

Below, you can hear Matt Carter and Jessa go through many of the events of the show’s second episode, including Joe Bailey’s arrival, and whether or not the show should feel in some way responsible for what happened to Juelia Kinney. While Joe clearly crossed some lines, this is a show designed to force people into relationships, real or not, in order to advance. Joe was effectively just “playing the game” to get to his own desired end (being with Samantha), and this is just something that he did to go along the journey.

Meanwhile, we of course touch on what Joshua Albers was saying to Tenley about his history with a certain drug and some of the things that she heard about him. This was also very scandalous in the episode, and of course it makes you wonder whether or not he is showing off two different personalities to different people.

Finally, we do spend a minute or two discussing some of the couples that are actually working; think along the lines here of people like Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, and Kirk DeWindt and Carly Waddell. They both seem to be going strong still.
