‘The Last Ship’ season 2 spoilers: Difficult times ahead in ‘Friendly Fire’

Chandler -Is there a murder investigation coming on TNT’s “The Last Ship“? It certainly appears that way at the moment, and it could feel for at least a moment or two a little bit like the show is venturing in the direction of a mystery show on the upcoming August 16 episode “Friendly Fire.”

With that said, it’s fair to also say at the moment that there are plenty of other issues that Chandler and company are going to be facing in this episode, as well, including such things as a journey to New Orleans to try to complete their current Presidential quest. The problem? The Immunes are not done fighting with them just yet after all of the violence and tough situations that we have seen so far.

To get some other information all about what to expect in this episode, just take a look at the attached synopsis now:

“Rachel is hard at work on a new, more efficient version of the cure while Alisha decodes a message found on a cell phone recovered from the Immunes on land. A suspicious death on the ship forces Chandler to launch a murder investigation, causing dissent among the crew and threatening to upset good order and discipline. Armed with new information provided by Michener, Nathan James heads to New Orleans, only to find that the Immunes have a terrifying surprise in store for them there.”

There are only a few episodes left after this one, so you better believe that this is a story that could very well set the stage.
