‘Bones’ season 11, ‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 could have … crossover?

This has to be one of the craziest news items that we have heard in quite some time, and yet at the same time we could find it to be supremely interesting and entertaining.

According to a new report from TVLine, “Bones” and “Sleepy Hollow” are being considered for some sort of crazy crossover event, which could happen at some point over the course of 2015-16 season. It has not been set in stone just yet, but it is being explored to make sure that the logistics of it could be something that works out. These two shows air on the same network in Fox and will even be on the same night in Thursday, so trying to execute something likes this makes a little sense for the network. However, at the same time these are two very different shows, and only one of them tends to really deal with the supernatural.

With that being said, maybe there is some sort of inventive idea here where “Bones” can have a dream sequence where Booth and Brennan could start to think that they are losing their minds when they enter Sleepy Hollow and meet Ichabod Crane.

If this involved two different shows that were a little more serious, we’d think that this is a terrible, shark-jumping sort of idea. However, we consider these series to be fun first and foremost. Why not try something like this, since it would be a fun way to pair up two different series in need of a ratings bump?
