‘Girl Meets World’ season 2 spoilers: Maya’s father coming in upcoming episode

For those wondering when or even if “Girl Meets World” is going to be introducing the character of Maya’s father this season, we have some confirmation now that it is definitely happening.

As first reported by E! News, the Disney Channel series is going to be introducing for an upcoming episode the character of Kermit, who we are assuming is going to be far less likable to viewers than the famous frog. He is described as “roguish” and “good-looking,” and while there may be certain aspects of him that intrigue viewers, it is hard to really be pulling for a guy who has not been a part of his daughter’s life.

What complicates matters even more for the Kermit character is that Maya’s mother is now seemingly dating Shawn, which means that there could be some further tension among the adults on the show. It also may not help matters for Kermit that his daughter is starting to look up to Shawn as a sort of father figure. If these two have some tension, you have to worry about what some of the long-term implications there could be. Time will tell when this episode airs.

“Girl Meets World” has not been short on emotional episodes lately.
