MTV’s ‘Scream’ episode 2 trailer: Take a look ahead at the season!

Did you enjoy the premiere of MTV’s “Scream” tonight? Well, we have a pretty good feeling that some of the craziest stuff is still to come as we start to move forward into the rest of the season. The synopsis below via TV Guide should give you at least a sense of what is coming up next week, and the trailer below offers up plenty more, as well:

“The death of another teen raises questions; and leads to a rift between Emma and Audrey. In other events, a podcaster arrives in town to report on the past and present murders.”

There are a variety of the similar sort of teen horror tropes in this trailer, whether it be a variety of different terrifying moments, a bizarre refusal to involve the police, and of course the potential for some gruesome kills. This may differ from the movies in some ways, but don’t expect anything too crazy.

The one thing that this show really does need to take a close look at moving into the rest of the season is what it needs to do in order to stand out. This is a very different time for horror, and even horror on TV, than it used to be. So many people are doing innovative things that you really have to work harder to stand out.

One thing we certainly do know is that the concept of podcasters is definitely something that we would not have seen in the original films so many years ago.
