‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ episode 10 preview: Will vs. Shirin; Rodney vs. Mike (again)
While tonight’s episode of “Survivor: Worlds Apart” was far from the most exciting, consider it in many ways to be a necessary evil. We got the predictable Joe boot out of the way, and there’s now room for the rest of the season to be insane.
Is it possible that Jenn or Shirin goes home next? Sure, but there’s no real reason to since there are so many bigger fish to fry. Both Mike and Rodney know this, which is probably why the preview for the next episode shows the two of them going after each other. We can see a situation where either one of them goes home next, though Mike does have an idol and at least something resembling safety if he decides to use it soon. What makes his personal plan interesting is that he could in theory bring in Shirin and by extension Jenn, and if they worked with him, Dan, and Sierra, they could ship away at what Rodney has going on with his new alliance. (Granted, that would require Shirin and Jenn actually wanting to work with Dan.)
Also, get ready for a random blowup between Shirin and Will! Why do these two suddenly dislike each other? They’ve been together since the tribe swap, and if we were Will, our strategy would be to just take a nap and wake up at around the final five. He’ll still be there, since he is only slightly more threatening than Jenn at this point.
The real turning point in this episode will be if the Blue Collar alliance plus Carolyn and Tyler decide that they want to stay strong for another week or two, or if they figure that now is the time to start chipping away.
