Is ‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 17 new tonight? What to expect from ‘The Artful Dodger’
Bad news for those of you who love “NCIS“: You’re probably not getting a chance to enjoy your favorite characters tonight. Why is that? Well, “The Artful Dodger” is not on the air. This episode will air on Tuesday, March 10 on CBS, and it looks on the surface to be a fairly entertaining one.
What we can tell you right now is that Robert Wagner is going to return as Tony Sr. for an episode that is largely about art, and some of his skills are going to be useful to the team as they work to figure out how to solve this particularly tricky case. We typically get a great Tony Sr. episode at some point this season, and we can only hope that this particular story will deliver, as well. Even if it doesn’t, don’t worry: There is still a half-dozen episodes still to come after this one wraps up. Maybe you’ll get the chance to see some other family at some point during these episodes as well.
Moving towards the end of the season, you are hopefully going to see a few more storylines that are perhaps even more intense than anything that we have seen on the show so far. After giving you a more subdued finale last year to tribute Ralph Waite, we imagine them going in a different direction.
It’s possible that CBS will unveil the promo for this episode not long after tonight’s repeat airs. If they do manage to show that off, you can rest assured that we will have it for you here!

Looks like the new second in command McGee will be going undercover with Senior. Of course it’s not Tony. TPTB are pushing McGee this season along of course with a steady and constant dose of super Gibbs Even in an episode with DiNozzo Senior, Tony will obviously not do much more than impotently wring his hands. Pretty McBoring. Wish they’d kill Tony off so Weatherly could be a part of a show that actually appreciates his talent.

Does seem more about McGee and Senior than about Tony and his own father. They might have a few moments here and there but probably not enough. If Michael Weatherly left the show, though. There would no longer be a “NCIS”. I was and continue to be a Ziva fan and I think they lost a lot when they lost her but the show would seriously go down the tubes if Tony was gone. Honestly, I give this show a few more seasons, if not just one more. Just isn’t the same show I used to love and never missed every Tuesday. Something is missing in Tony too. His character has gotten weak and I blame the writers for that. :(
