‘Community’ season 6 poster jokes about NBC cancellation
“Community” is coming back! Rejoice! On March 17, the comedy will be launching with with new episodes on Yahoo! Screen, and this is something that it is pretty darn easy to be excited about. While there may be differences with the show in terms of its network and the cast (Yvette Nicole Brown is no longer a regular), what we do know is that you’re going to still have much of the same comedy. We don’t get the sense that creator Dan Harmon wants to mess with the formula too much. He just wants to make a great show that pleases longtime fans, and this has the potential to do just that.
Even the cast right now seems to be celebrating the show’s second life. As star Joel McHale admitted to People Magazine (who also posted the attached photo) in a new interview, there was a time when everyone was thinking that they needed to go out and get some other jobs:
“We’d all mourned the loss of the show. We had a commiserating dinner where we all were like, “Well, that’s that. It’s all over.” We had all moved on and had begun taking meetings other places because we thought it was dead – and then it wasn’t. I was thrilled. It was like Buzz Lightyear grabbed us by the shoulders and said, “I’m falling with style.” We were like Woody, and we were saved.”
Now, it is possible that the show could live beyond a sixth season, depending once again on what most of the cast and crew want to do. So long as the show stays great, we have no problem getting a whole lot more of it.
What do you want to see on the new season of the show, and are you glad that it is coming back? Let us know.
