‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 15 preview: Marina Squerciati teases Burgess’ kidnapping

Burgess has been in danger on “Chicago PD” before, so with that in mind, maybe she is a little more prepared for the events coming up on Wednesday night’s new episode. With that being said, that does not make it any less dangerous. As a matter of fact, we are gearing up to see potentially one of the most violent situations that the character has ever gone through. She and Roman are kidnapped, and she has to figure out if there is a way at all for her to survive.

One other thing that you should be aware of here? That Burgess happens to lose her fun, and that is why this situation is perhaps more precarious than anything that we’ve seen her in just yet. In previewing the episode to TVLine, star Marina Squerciati teases the storyline by saying the following:

“It is the most on the line that these characters have ever been. What our technical adviser Brian Luce told us is that you don’t ever get rid of your gun. You don’t ever let the perp take your gun, because there’s nothing a perp would love to do more than shoot a cop with his own gun. Just to hear that and hear the things that have happened when a police officer loses a gun, it’s heart-stoppingly frightening. So the moment we lose our guns to these criminals, we realize we’re in a whole different ballgame. Our lives are really on the line.”

Will these two characters make it out of here alive? While we want to say we’re optimistic, this show has a knack for making us nervous. We’re still a little unnerved by what happened to Leslie Shay on “Chicago Fire,” and cannot fully get that out of our head going into this one.
