ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: Tragedy strikes in ‘The Lawn Chair’
It is pretty hard to make some sort of huge, super-dramatic announcement about something shocking coming on “Scandal” season 4, mostly because this is the sort of thing that tends to happen almost every week. Still, we get the sense that the fourteenth episode of the season entitled “The Lawn Chair” (which airs on Thursday, March 5) is going to be one of the biggest ones that we’ve seen to date.
Sometimes, you really have to read into the context clues of a synopsis released by ABC, but there is one word in particular that makes it clear this episode is worth watching:
“A tragedy in D.C. gains national attention and the White House must deal with their problematic VP.”
So what sort of “tragedy” could there be? Obviously, the word implies death, and given that this show is set in Washington, we have to think that it could involve at least someone important to the show kicking the bucket. We don’t think that is so unreasonable a thought.
Who could it be? Anyone in the picture above is probably fair game other than Olivia and Fitz, and you also have to include minor characters, friends of major characters, and probably a few other groups that we are forgetting about here.
Ultimately, we would just say to expect that this is going to be a supremely entertaining episode of the show. Hopefully, Olivia Pope will be back in Washington by this point, given that last night’s episode suggested that she was being sold to Iran.
