‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ CarterMatt Podcast: Talking part 1 of finale, drafting next season with Jessa

Apprentice -We feel like it was pretty clear that Monday night’s “Celebrity Apprentice” podcast was certainly not an ordinary one. After all, we had the likes of a clip show dominating one hour of it, and as much as we may like and appreciate Gary Busey and his mechanical dog, we really don’t want to focus this particular podcast on that.

So instead, this podcast can really be broken down into two separate halves. In the first half, we have a discussion on the first part of the finale, which includes the firing of Vivica A. Fox and the planning at Universal Orlando by Leeza Gibbons and Geraldo Rivera. We come mostly to praise Kevin Jonas, who is practically the Project Manager once again on Leeza’s team with everything that he has going on. It’s almost as though everyone knows that Kevin should not have been fired when he did, and he put a whole lot of eggs in the basket of trying to get Geraldo fired.

The main event of this podcast to us is hopefully something that is going to become a bit of a tradition: The draft! We (being Matt Carter and Jessa) each chose eight celebrities from across the entertainment world, and we used them to create a pretty perfect cast for the upcoming season. While we may have a person or two each who are probably a little too famous, and also one or two people who are probably not famous enough, we tried to stick to people who would be ideal additions to the cast and would have some sort of reasonable interest in being a part of the show.

There are a couple of things that we’re already kicking ourselves over, with the major one being a spiel about the lack of magicians in the cast of past seasons, even though Penn Jillette almost won the show and appeared twice. (Ironically, we even mentioned him earlier in the podcast!) Also, there was a minor sound issue during a “who loves orange soda?” reference. This should be a clue to one of the celebrities picked, at least to those who know what we’re saying.
