‘Reign’ season 2, episode 12 preview: The story for Adelaide Kane, cast in ‘Banished’

Over the course of the past season and a half of “Reign,” we have seen the character of Mary evolve in a number of ways. She has discovered herself, discovered romance, but also went through a variety of terrible circumstances. These all shape her for what is the next step, and we have a very big episode coming up next week in “Banished.”

Where Adelaide Kane and the rest of the cast going from here? The synopsis below, courtesy of The CW, does a very good job of spelling things out when it comes to some big moves that she is going to make:

“Mary (Adelaide Kane) finds out the truth from Greer (Celina Sinden) about rumors going around Court, forcing Mary to do something she never thought possible. Francis (Toby Regbo) finds himself in a growing rivalry with Condé (Sean Teale) for Mary. Bash’s (Torrance Coombs) mother Diane (guest star Anna Walton) returns, igniting a long overdue confrontation with Catherine (Megan Follows), while Claude (Rose Williams) is determined to find out the truth about who really killed the twins.”

The show is basically going to be doing their part to make up for lost time, given that it has been off the air for the last month. We’re excited to see the next move, and there has to be a certain sense of comfort that comes out of knowing that the series has already been renewed. After all, that takes a little bit of the pressure off commercially, and you can concentrate a little bit more on just producing a quality show. That in itself will keep people watching.
