Is ‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 9 new tonight on AMC?
The past eight weeks have been plenty of fun when it comes to “The Walking Dead,” and we’ve had a lot of opportunity to sit around and discuss both the AMC show and its story.
So when are we going to get a chance to discuss it further? Well, it is not going to be tonight. The network is done with zombies for the rest of the year, and the same obviously goes for the “Talking Dead” aftershow that comes on the air after that.
The show is not going to be coming back on the air until Sunday, February 9 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and we will have a little bit of fun seeing what the ratings for the second half of the season are going to be.
One question that we’ve always wondered here and there is simple: Why wait until February to bring the show back on the air? The simple answer to that is that while the series may not be afraid of much, they are afraid of NFL football. They know that competing against Championship Games or the Super Bowl is a bad move, and therefore they are doing almost everything that they can in order to avoid that.
In premiering at this time, the show is able once again to air eight more episodes without interruption, and at this point other networks have really gotten to the point where they don’t want to even bother with competing anymore. They will for the most part just opt to air repeats or scheduling around the show. For example, “Game of Thrones” probably will not premiere until after the show is over.

For die-hard fans, you already know what happens because they are only about halfway through the released graphic novel issues and are simply along for the ride. You don’t care when they come out, you simply want to see their adaptation.

Wow; here’s an idea; lets not be like fox and “post-pone” shows like fire fly; the unit….. etc….. until they are dead and oh nobody wants to watch it says network executives…. SINCE WHEN DO NETWORK EXECUTIVES KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN HOW TO KILL A SERRIES; and lets do the smart “Rare-sense” thing to do and move it to oh i dont know, SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER THE GAMES? then people can eat their cake AND have it too.

Thinking on it; this makes me want to dump all of my AMC stock until a week before they bring it back because i doubt many viewers will come back to them.
