‘The Flash’ spoilers: Winter finale comic preview all about Firestorm

We’ve spent so much time talking about Reverse Flash, Barry and Iris, and some other topics related to the winter finale of “The Flash” this week, we’ve probably not given another very interesting (and cool-sounding) story its proper due: The arrival of Firestorm to the show! After all, this is a man who was extremely important to the backstory of the Caitlin Snow character, but we have not seen him since early this season.

Now that we have a chance to see him again, let’s just say that he is not exactly the same man that Caitlin remembers. The comic preview below comes courtesy of the show’s official Twitter account, and it chooses to highlight for the most part a very intense scene where Caitlin tries to introduce Ronnie to Cisco again, but is very worried about how he will react.

Why? Ronnie has no real recollection as to who he was. This is a pretty smart move for the show creatively, given that it does help to settle what was one of our biggest questions going into this episode Tuesday: Why Ronnie did not try to seek his fiancee or anyone else out after the explosion at STAR Labs. It is not out of shame or fear; instead, it is out of his desire to not scare them away.

The only thing that we can really hope for from this episode is that they give the Firestorm story its due enough. In between this and everything else that the show is hoping to accomplish, this is going to be a super-crammed episode!
