NBC’s ‘The Voice’ rankings: James David Carter, Reagan James, Taylor Brashears, and team Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton -We’ve been ranking every team on “The Voice” over the past few days, and today, we’ve finally reached the end of the road with a chance to discuss a team that traditionally fares very well on this show: Blake Shelton’s. He has mentored half of the show’s winners, and two of those three were country artists.

Therefore, you have to consider that as a major factor when ranking the artists on his team now. He does have somewhat of an odd team this time, given that he basically only has two styles of singer on here. Once this group gets narrowed down, that is when it will start to get super-competitive.

5. Jessie Pitts – She’s a very good singer, but stolen contestants typically have a disadvantage (with Josh Kaufman being a huge exception). She really has to bring it early on – much like Josh did.

4. Craig Wayne Boyd – In a way, Craig being stolen twice may actually help him a lot when it comes to airtime, but there’s still the problem of him being on a team with two other country singers who may be a little more mainstream.

3. Reagan James – This is a tricky one. She’s one of the youngest contestants, which means that she has a ton of potential. We really like her confidence and on-stage personality, but there are voters out there who tend to shy away from big personalities.

2. Taylor Brashears – She is a female country singer. Clearly, Blake has had a little bit of success with this style on his team in the past. Taylor will be hard to get rid of in the early going.

1. James David Carter – He’s a good-looking male country singer with a great voice on Blake Shelton’s team. That is basically the perfect storm of what gets votes on this show. If America gets to vote on him, we would be shocked to see him finish any lower than the top 6.
