‘Sherlock’ season 4: See Benedict Cumberbatch, ‘Call the Midwife’ star do Beyonce walk on ‘Graham Norton’
Benedict Cumberbatch is in the headlines once again today, but this time around, it is mostly for him coming up with yet another innovative way to send a few laughs down our spine.
During an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” (airing on BBC America tomorrow) alongside “Call the Midwife” star Miranda Hart, the “Sherlock” actor ended up mimicking her own mimicry of Beyonce during her famous “Crazy in Love” video. To us, probably the biggest surprise of the entire segment is not seeing Cumberbatch having a little bit of silly fun, but that there are still discussions going on about this song so many years after it came out. Couldn’t they have done the “Single Ladies” dance instead?
Regardless, we suppose that this is still extremely funny stuff, and something that you should watch just to meet your daily laugh quote for the day.
On an unrelated note, this actually has been a very notable past day or so for BBC America, given that AMC Networks purchased a good 49.9% share in the network. This probably is not going to change too much in terms of the programming you can expect to see here, but it does mean that the show can be packaged better and benefit from some of the resources that this conglomerate has in America.
Now, we only wish that “Sherlock” and “Call the Midwife” had the chance to air here in addition to PBS. Why not give viewers more options? BBC America does at least have a habit of allowing you to watch new series the same day they air overseas.
