‘Scorpion’ episode 6 preview: ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ star stops by!

Just in case you wanted another reason to watch next week’s new episode of “Scorpion,” think of this right now as an added incentive: An opportunity to see a crossover with “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Linda Hunt is set to come over as Hetty, who is going to help out the Scorpion team with an upcoming mission.

So what exactly is this particular mission? You can get some further insight into it courtesy of the CBS synopsis below:

“Team Scorpion must pass a mandated psych evaluation or face being disbanded after they’re accused of destroying a priceless work of art in an attempt to protect an art exhibit. Meanwhile, Paige enlists the help of the team when Ralph is reluctant to go to his school’s Halloween party.”

Something that may be lost in this fun little Hetty appearance is just how many shows are tied into one giant CBS web. Think about it this way: “NCIS,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and “NCIS: New Orleans” are all obviously set in the same world, and there have also been crossovers between “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Hawaii Five-0.” Add “Scorpion” to the mix, and then you have five different shows all thrown into one pile. If you remember that “NCIS” originated out of “JAG,” then it only gets even messier just how deep this universe goes.

Are there any other crossovers that we want to see? Basically, we’d say that almost anything that is made at CBS TV could cross over to something else. “Criminal Minds” will largely be left in the cold here, given that it is produced by ABC.
