‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Now with a dose of Peter Fonda

The Blacklist logo any seasonRemember what we’ve said a few times now about “The Blacklist” being the show that most actors right now want to guest-star on? Well, we have some further evidence of that and then some.

Per a report from TV Guide, none other than acting legend Peter Fonda. Surprisingly, the clues at the moment seem to indicate that he is actually not going to be playing a character on Raymond Reddington’s list of bad guys who you don’t want to mess with. Instead, his character is Geoff Perl, who is a CEO and philanthropist who tries to raise funds for animal rights.

Given that he is appearing on this show, it ultimately doesn’t matter if he is a good guy or not; he will still find a way to enter Reddington’s world all the same, and that is really all that matters. We still feel for him very much, since it seems like there is a zero percent chance that he will stay out of harm’s way. If you are a casting agent for this show, are you really going to cast a Fonda without putting them in position to work with James Spader?

The date for this episode is Monday, October 27, which luckily is less than three days away. Is it fair to say that there is a big reason to be excited here? We like to think so. Fonda has the skills to make this show somehow even better than it is already.
