‘Sherlock’ season 4 spoilers: More confirmation on early 2015 filming dates
The frustration for “Sherlock” fans must in some ways be terrible. IT has been a good eight months now since viewers in Britain first caught the series on the BBC, and they are staring in the face of another 15 months or so before the series finally comes on the air.
So is there any sort of actually solace we can give? Well, we can offer up another reminder that the show will be back filming early next year. Speaking to Digital Spy in a new interview about his new movie “Pride,” Andrew Scott (Moriarty) explained that the filming date is still early 2015 for the upcoming holiday special airing later that year.
While this wait may indeed be horrendously long, we would reply for the time being that it is worth it. After all, just remember in here the simple fact that you’ve got at least four more episodes coming up, and typically, the renewals we get for Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, and the rest of the gang are only for three.
In this same interview, Scott also went on to describe the sort of shock that came out of many of his co-stars winning Primetime Emmy Awards last month over contenders from “The Normal Heart” and other projects that had more pre-show buzz:
“I don’t think the guys were really expecting to win – I went to see Martin in his play with Benedict and Amanda and Loo [the week after the Emmys], and they weren’t expecting it. So it was really amazing for them.”
