‘The X Factor’ UK: Lizzy Pattinson gets further endorsement now from brother Robert

Even though Lizzy Pattinson was not necessarily given a ton of screen time on “The X Factor” UK, she still is finding plenty of other ways to get support and publicity … including from her very-famous brother Robert.

In a new interview with “ET Canada” talking about his new film “Maps to the Stars,” Rob admitted that despite the two sharing a musical sensibility, they do not typically sing together. As a matter of fact, they are each fond of different sorts of music.

With that being said, Rob made sure to mention that he is extremely “excited” that his sister got this opportunity on the show, and mentioned it is one of the biggest gigs that she has received in a while. We’re equally happy for her from that point of view, but here is the funny thing: She’s getting all this promotion right now, and nobody even knows right now if she is even going to be in the final stages of the competition.

Ultimately, Simon Cowell and the judges / producers have to make a very difficult decision when it comes to Lizzy. If she is good enough, she should be put through just when it comes to her own merit. The problem is that you don’t want to put forward an act just because of their family connections, or even if they are on the cusp because the “Twilight” and Pattinson fans will vote her very deep into the show. Do we still think that the right person would win regardless? Probably, but there would be controversy along the way.
