‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: The meaning of ‘Puzzle With a Piece Missing’
Who wants some “Grey’s Anatomy” – episode title scoop to help to get your weekend going? What we have for you now is the reported name of the second episode of the season (airing in early October), and once again, we’re looking at a song title.
According to SpoilerTV, the name of this particular installment is none other than “Puzzle with a Piece Missing.” For those wondering, we assume that this is a reference to a song by Gotye, who you probably know best for “Somebody That I Used to Know.” The show sometimes does choose lesser-known songs for their titles, especially since they need them to suit the story.
Ultimately, it’s not too hard to figure out what this may be a reference to: Meredith Grey. While this is just our own speculation, it all makes perfect sense right now given that you’ve got a woman who is feeling emotionally devastated without Cristina as a part of her daily life anymore, and her conflict with Derek has been making things so much worse than they would already be. While we’ve heard that she will try to fill that friendship void with Alex and others, nothing is really going to work in the way in which she would hope for it to (unfortunately).
“Grey’s Anatomy” comes back on the air come Thursday, September 25 at a new time in 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, and we imagine that there are other possibilities here for this title, as well. Maybe it describes the hopes for Callie and Arizona to have another baby in their life, or how April and Jackson’s marriage is struggling.
