‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 summer finale: Janel Parrish reacts to Mona spoiler

Are you feeling sad about the “Pretty Little Liars” finale? We don’t blame you, if for no other reason than that this is a completely shocking hour of TV. We knew that there would be a character’s death, but the person who actually died? That is why our jaw is on the ground.

We thought that Mona was in for the long haul, and now, she is officially no more. Janel Parrish has also already spoken out, and in a post on Twitter, she confirmed that her character is in fact gone:

“Yes, its true. Mona is dead but not GONE from Rosewood. I still exist in flashbacks!”

While it may be extremely depressing that Mona is no longer on the show, the positive here is that this is a character with a lot of secrets to be revealed at some point. This could include what she really knew about Alison, if there are any further secrets that she has been hiding from the Liars, or anything else. Many dead characters do find a way of returning. Even if Ali had actually been dead, her appearances still would have made sense.

You will be seeing more of the show a little later this year, and hopefully around Christmas time one of the gifts will be finding out more about what happened to Mona.

As for Janel, here’s to hoping that she gets some other great work soon! She got to be a big part of this show for a long time, and that is something worth celebrating.
