‘Community’ season 6: Will Yvette Nicole Brown’s new gig limit her time?
If you are like us, then you love “Community.” Thanks to that, you probably spend a good bit of your time worrying about people leaving “Community.” This is a show that breeds some insecurity at this point, given that we’ve already to date lost Chevy Chase and Donald Glover from the past.
So what about Yvette Nicole Brown? According to a new report from TVLine, a Sony rep assures that she is going to still be a regular for season 6 on Yahoo, despite also taking a major new gig on “The Odd Couple” over at CBS.
So how in the world could this work? Our guess is that it is the result of very careful scheduling. More than likely, her role on the CBS sitcom works in a way that she can do it after filming her “Community” scenes. She’s not one of the main leads (Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon are), and sitcom schedules are pretty kind. These factors may make it easier.
Of course, we’ll wonder about her future in the event that there is a season 7, but we’d worry about that for all of these people. We’ll be surprised if there is another year after this one, and we’d be more than happy with a movie just to end things properly and with the same ironic prophecy that Abed had with “The Cape” back during season 2.
There is no firm premiere date yet for “Community,” but as soon as it is announced, we will let you know!
