‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 spoilers: First look at Allen Leech’s Tom, baby Sybbie

“Downton Abbey” at this point is starting to near the end of filming, and they are consequently shifting into promotion season! There is no premiere date for season 5 just yet in the UK, but with it likely coming to ITV in September, the network is starting to rev up their efforts … beginning with some new photos of the children.

With this image of Tom Branson (Allen Leech) and his daughter Sybbie, you get a chance to see just how much time has really passed since the last time we saw the characters. The younger Sybil is starting to become old enough to vocalize her thoughts, even if she will not exactly be fully integrated with the characters just yet. Who knows? Given how far ahead the show tends to leap, we wouldn’t be too shocked if she was a good ten years old if the show last a couple more seasons.

This image was first shared on the show’s official Instagram page, and you can also see another one below of George, the child of Michelle Dockery’s Mary. He is also getting older in age, and the two both appear to have such a loving group of people around them that they must be handling growing up all right. Obviously, none of this for George or Sybbie can be a replacement for the fact that neither has both their mother and father alive, and Mary for the first few months of George’s life was basically disinterested.
