ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2 spoilers: First tease (sort of) of Michelle Fairley
“Resurrection” needed a little something extra to drive interest in the show’s second season, and they may have found it in Michelle Fairley. Thanks mostly to “Game of Thrones,” the actress has amassed what is at least a fairly substantial following that she has been able to follow up with great arcs on both “Suits” and most-recently “24: Live Another Day.”
Now, Fairley is getting set to appear on “Resurrection” in a major recurring role as Margaret Langston, the grandmother to Jacob and the mother of Fred and Henry. She will be around for a while, and apparently with some of her own major secrets, to boot. Her appearance does help to complicate the bizarre timeline for the show even more, since she will most-likely appear as just as youthful (if not more so) than her two sons, who are both old enough to be grandparents in their own right.
ABC released a brand-new trailer recently for the show that teases the appearance of Margaret … at least in the form of her voice. You can hear her speaking with Jacob, which proves further that Fairley has now problem changing up her accent. However, you don’t actually see her, and the only thing you really see here at all is the site of a cemetery. In most towns, this is the land of the dead; meanwhile, here it seems to be more of a spot of transition. There are still many mysteries surrounding it, though, especially since the bodies of those who originally died are still there.
