‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4 spoilers: One of the new cast members speaks out

Hell on Wheels -While the Naomi role on “Hell on Wheels” existed prior to the beginning of season 4, a recasting allowed for Mackenzie Porter to have an opportunity to step in and play this part to the best of her ability. She is a woman who has found herself in some very unusual circumstances, and thanks to them and her complicated relationship with Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), we’re in for quite a fourth season when the show returns on Saturday, August 2.

Porter certainly seems to be enjoying taking on the role and shooting in the Calgary area so far, at least per her statement about the show in a new interview with Crave Online:

We are currently shooting Season 4. I play Naomi, a young Mormon woman who unexpectedly gets pregnant with Cullen Bohannon’s child. She and Cullen soon find themselves in a marriage that neither of them has chosen. This show has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on set. The scripts are brilliant. It’s every actor’s dream to work on a show with amazing writers and I am very fortunate to be living that dream right now! I was a huge fan of the show before I even auditioned, and now I’m an even bigger one!!”

One thing that we are very interested in figuring out soon is simply how much of Porter on the show we are really going to see. Will Cullen bring his wife with him everywhere? While we know that he is changing his ways somewhat thanks to some new circumstances, we also have a very hard time envisioning him as the sort of guy who is going to be willing to hang around a Mormon community and now be around the railroad or the people he has come to know over the years.

Luckily, we’ll find out everything about this story and more when “Hell on Wheels” returns, and we definitely cannot wait to see what happens.
