‘The Bridge’ season 2 spoilers: An unusual story ahead for Sonya Cross

What lies ahead on “The Bridge” season 2? This is a question that has summered ever since the show ended last summer, and the primary case that Sonya Cross and Marco Ruiz embarked on came to a close.

But, the reality of this series is that there has to be some sort of continuation in order for these two from separate countries to continue working together, and we will see that. This case promises to be dark, but it’s to be seen if is as dark as a certain Sonya-centered story that we are here to write about today.

According to a new report from TV Guide, Sonya is going to forge some sort of strange connection with someone who was tied to her the case of her deceased sister years ago, and this is going to be something that plays out over the course of the season. Is this bond romantic? That is something that is hard to really explain or flesh out, mostly because Sonya herself is not really capable of romance in a real way. (We saw her idea of a hookup play on on the show last year.)

We are fine with getting some deeper insight into the Sonya storyline on the show, but the one thing that we would probably be cautious about is that we don’t want to tread on ground that has already been walked on time and time again. Moving forward is very important, and we liked the small emotional button that we had on the case during the first season. Sometimes, there can be too much of a good thing.
