‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Andi Dorfman, J.J. O’Brien age quickly for date

While there is going to be some drama and fighting taking place across the upcoming two episodes of “The Bachelorette” on Sunday and Monday, there is also one thing that you can genuinely expect to see: One of the stranger dates that the show has shown off so far.

The fact that J.J. O’Brien, whose job is a “pantsapreneur,” gets a one-on-one date so early in the season is surprising enough. The fact that it involves him putting on old-man makeup and recreating “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” could very much surprise. Just take a liik at the synopsis below for more on this date with Andi Dorfman:

“Tall, good-looking J J joins Andi on an unusual date to discover what it means for ‘love to be timeless.’ The couple ages 50 years with the help of Hollywood make-up artists and spends the day looking elderly, but remaining young at heart, as they interact with people in the street. Will Andi see her future with this ‘old soul?'”

We feel like there is one primary advantage to this date, and that is the opportunity to learn whether or not J.J. and Andi have chemistry when you take away all of the physical stuff. Maybe this helps them to interact on a friend level first.

Here is the problem: While being friends before being lovers is something that happens all the time in the real world, it’s a little more rare on “The Bachelorette” since there is strictly not enough time to make the transition. If you’re stuck in the friend-zone on this show, you may as well except the fact that you are screwed. We cannot see this being a great date for J.J. in the long-term, even if he does get a rose.
