‘Glee’ season 6: Lea Michele on setting, wanting Phillip Phillips on debut album
It’s going to be a while until “Glee” season 6 comes on the air. This is mostly common knowledge at this point, since the show was not included on the Fox fall schedule. There are still some other things to be worked out, including the episode count, and we’ll hopefully have some additional information on that pretty soon.
For now, though, what we can be sure of is that this new season is not going to be set in New York City. This little slice of information was confirmed in a new radio interview that Lea Michele did with Fresh 102.7, even though the real setting for the season is a little unclear. We expect there to be a certain amount of Los Angeles to it given that is where Rachel’s TV show for Fox would be set, just as we also expect Lima, Ohio to have some sort of role yet again. The original ending of the show before Cory Monteith’s death was going to be set around the hometown of so many of these characters, and even without him we don’t see that changing too much.
Also in this interview, Lea tells a funny story about how she continues to run into “Raging Fire” singer / “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips at almost every turn, since they are both in the process of promoting things at the same time. She apparently asked him to do something on her album, but he was unable to due to time commitments. Wouldn’t that have been an interesting collaboration? Phillip’s been busy touring as of late, and now has a new album in “Behind the Light.”
