ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Will Emily’s mother return to the Hamptons?

It has been a few days now since the “Revenge” season 3 finale, so we like to think that it is at least possible that you have started to digest all of the craziness that happened.

While there were a number of surprises (Aiden’s death, Victoria in an institution), we feel like the biggest one is the return of David Clarke, who is of course not actually dead, to the show. Did he really kill Conrad Grayson? We will get an update on that this fall when the show returns, but right now we are asking a different question: Does this open up the return of Jennifer Jason Leigh as Kara? It has been a while since she has surfaced on the show, and with that in mind, we imagine that the door could be open again for a reprise (even though it’s pretty clear that she and Emily do not have the best relationship).

Based on what executive producer Sunil Nayar told E! News recently, just about everything we just said could be true when it comes to whether or not we see the character turn up again:

“She’s definitely come up in conversations. Season four is going to be much more about the nature of Emily’s family as opposed to the Grayson family than it’s ever been before … She’s someone we’re talking about, but we haven’t figured out the stories yet, but we love her and we love the character. You never know, she could pop up.”
