‘Call the Midwife’ season 3, episode 8 (finale) spoilers: Jessica Raine, more PBS teasers
Sunday night on PBS, “Call the Midwife” will come to a conclusion that is definitely worthy of the label “dramatic.” There will be twists, turns, and an ending that will leave you talking with your friends with many months ahead.
All we are going to say about all of that is that Jessica Raine’s Jenny will have a key part to play, but she will be one of many. This episode strangely deals with themes of death just as much as life, which is interesting given that the show is often about welcoming the latter into the world. As the synopsis below teases, death is brought up as a subject of conversation mostly thanks to what is going on with the Chummy storyline. You can see more of that in the episode’s synopsis below:
“As preparations are made for Chummy to care for her dying mother at home, Jenny feels drawn to help. While Shelagh and Dr. Turner await news from the Adoption Society, Shelagh pulls out all the stops when she enters her choir into a competition.”
You can see a little more of these stories teased in the video preview below, but what we will say for now is that by and large for the most part, the stories that are introduced in the finale are answered. There are not necessarily any gigantic cliffhangers, but that does not mean in the slightest that the show will not put you through an emotional wringer.
