‘The Originals’ spoilers: More on finale from Charles Michael Davis; also, season 2 news
If you follow “The Originals” across a multitude of social networks online, then you may be familiar already with the news that the series is going to be shooting some of its second season a little early.
So just how much are we talking about here? Well, we now have an answer via series star Charles Michael Davis. Speaking to TVLine, the man behind the magnificent Marcel (which is what he should be called most of the time) confirmed that the show is “getting a jump” on the second season by shooting the first three episodes before hiatus. What does this mean? While not confirmed, our understanding would be that the cast would return to filming a little later in the fall thanks to this. It’s either that or they will make up for this longer stint at work with a hiatus at some other point.
Davis also did give a tiny tease about the end of the season to the publication, which probably also sums up perfectly everything that you want to see:
“New information, deaths and explosions. I feel like the last three episodes are a three-week finale. Viewers will be satisfied with everything that happens.”
Could we see Marcel die on the show? We suppose that it is possible, but we have a hard time thinking that the series is going to get rid of anyone else at this point. You’ve already lost Sophie, and who knows when Claire Holt is going to be back? The assumption is that we will see more Rebekah at some point, but that is in part up to whenever Claire wants to come back and when there’s a place for her in the story.
