‘The Following’ season 2 finale spoilers: Multiple endings shot

How is this for a surprise when it comes to “The Following“? Things are so under wraps when it comes to the end of season 2 that not even every member of the cast fully knows what is going to happen.

For some evidence of this, take a look at confirmation that the show actually filmed multiple different endings for the season. Valorie Curry, whose character Emma seems to be no longer with us, had the following to say on the subject to E! News:

“Actually, they show three different endings for 15 and the story was changing a lot throughout production, … It is The Following, so I think you can count on a body count…whether those are people with names or not…”

What is the most interesting to us about this tease from Curry is primary the notion that the story was changing frequently … and that’s not a good thing. That shows more than anything else that you were not particularly confident with what you were putting out there for people to see in the first place. We have gotten the sense that the story was sort of combined together from time to time like Frankenstein’s monster, especially since all this religion stuff sort of came out of nowhere after never really being addressed at all during the early parts of this season.

Nonetheless, we’re hoping out hope that the finale will make sense of everything, though we still feel like Joe Carroll and his followers need to be done away with so that the show can reboot and start fresh. We feel good that it is going to work for “Homeland,” and it could also work here.
