NCAA Title Game: Are ‘Castle’ season 6, ‘The Blacklist,’ ‘Teen Wolf’ new tonight?

The Blacklist logo any seasonMay is a glorious time for most TV viewing, since this is sweeps and also when most series come to a close; unfortunately, this also means that April can sometimes be a mighty struggle to get through given the lack of new episodes in the early going.

Monday night, you’re going to feel that courtesy of many shows that are in repeats simply due to the fact that many shows want to hold on to their good stuff until May, and there is also the competition of the NCAA Basketball Title Game between Kentucky and Connecticut. CBS is entirely preempted due to this, whereas ABC has opted for a “Castle” repeat, and NBC is trying to use “The Voice” lead-in to promote an hour-long commercial “American Dream Builders.” Both “Castle” and “The Blacklist” will return on April 21, where they will air new episodes for the remainder of the season.

As for cable, your best option is to check out “Bates Motel” at 10:00 on A&E if you’re looking for something scripted. “Teen Wolf” is gone now until June, and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” at 9:00 is just an episode featuring never-before-seen footage. The season itself is technically over.

As for the shows on network TV that are still new, you can catch “The Voice,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Bones,” “The Following,” and “Star-Crossed” all at their normal times. “The Tomorrow People” on The CW is a repeat, which we think is for reasons of stretching the season out more so than it is basketball.

Anytime that there is confusion about a TV lineup, we want to be here to help clear things up before you get home from work and end up severely disappointed.
