‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: Who was evicted; the secret houseguests arrive
There was a lot to get through on the new “Big Brother Canada 2” episode Thursday, in between the first nomination ceremony, the Power of Veto Competition, and the Veto Ceremony, and then the eviction. There was so much to get through, in fact, that there was really not much of an opportunity to learn everything that we needed to know about some of the contestants. For example, what was with some of the gang signs that were being thrown in there by some of the houseguests during their votes, and why was Ika really nominated after Andrew won the PoV?
This is why CBS has it right in giving us a reasonable amount of “Big Brother” typically before the first elimination, which is pretty essential since there is so much to get through. This is the time when you could probably give us a full week of shows, just in order to keep track of who is working with who.
The vote to evict Anick (which is a bit of a tongue-twister when you think about it) was unanimous, and that’s a bummer of a way to go out. Not a single person is standing up for you; but, at least she went home reasonably expecting it to happen. She hugged everyone while you could hear the crowd roar in the background, and then did her best to keep it together during the interview. Why didn’t someone give Anick a chair to sit on?
Now, let us turn to the new information that came to us as our “mystery houseguests” enter the game: Not only will they have to live in a secret room with cots and very few supplies, but they will actually have an opportunity to watch the other players. This is very similar to the “Celebrity Big Brother” twist from last year, and we have to say that it gives whoever enters the game a TON of power … especially if the others are in the dark about what they know. If these other players were smart, though, they’d take out whoever this is right away. You never know what they are up to. Grade: B.

I feel so sorry for Anick. Like you said what a way to go out. Must feel terrible! There always seems to “that person” that no one likes lol, must suck to be them!
