‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: More of Lea Michele, Chris Colfer on set

While “Glee” season 5 may have been on hiatus for a rather long span of time, the truth of the matter is that the cast have been hard at work for most of that time trying to get ahead of the game with new episodes. They are now several episodes ahead of the game; as a matter of fact, we are now at a point on the show where the characters who are moving to New York City are all already there, and the McKinley High students have now more or less been left behind.

The new photo attached here was posted on Twitter (courtesy of Darren Criss, but posted by Lea Michele), and she made it pretty clear that “Glee” has now officially made its move to the Big Apple. As for whether or not the characters are actually shooting there, that’s something very different. Most of the cast confirmed right now to be involved (Lea, Chris Colfer, Darren, Amber Riley, and Chord Overstreet) have all been in Los Angeles as of late, so they are doing the cheaper thing budget-wise and keeping things located in California.

We figure that this is mostly what the show is going to do the rest of the season, given that “Glee” is a pretty expensive show to begin with, and moving production to another city like New York is not easy … especially when you have low ratings. It’s still to be seen just how it will fare in the ratings upon its return Tuesday, especially given that you have competition from everything from “The Bachelor” to “NCIS” to “Pretty Little Liars” to “The Originals.”
