TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3 video: New promo all about John Ross

If there was one singular message that TNT would apparently want to get out to you for “Dallas” season 3 the rest of the way, it would be that this is a show jam-packed with enough drama and make-out sessions that you would think it to be “The Bachelor,” except actually well-done and not some over-produced concoction of real people saying fake things. The twist? The Bachelor this time around is technically not a Bachelor at all, and is pretty much a terrible guy most of the time.

Of course, we are speaking here about none other than John Ross, who is seen doing all sorts of philandering in the latest promo below from the episodes ahead (via SpoilerTV). To us, the biggest shocker that really comes out of this is only how much his father’s name is brought into the discussion. Given that Larry Hagman passed away back in 2012, we would have thought that the show would have tried its best to steer clear of the topic of conversation, mostly because the last thing it would want to do is try to compare itself to J.R. Ewing and all of his greatness. But, they are not really shying away here at all!

“Dallas” season 3 kicks off on Monday, February 24, and the show has a pretty impossible challenge almost right away of competing ironically against “The Bachelor” along with “The Voice.” That is not an easy duo to square off against. The one silver lining that the show does have is that if you are not much of a diehard fan of reality TV, there is not really that much in the way of scripted competition out there, and you may be able to enjoy this without too enormous of a problem on your schedule.
