‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 17 video: More Sarah Chalke, Ashley Williams

Now that we know a little bit more about who the mother on “How I Met Your Mother,” we are now on to the next big thing this season: Trying to get Ted Mosby a little bit closer to actually being with her in the present.

So how close is next week’s “Sunrise” going to take us? The big order of business, at least for now, seems a little bit more geared towards seeing some of the women that were very important to him in the past. Specifically they are labeled in the promo below as his “top five ex-girlfriends.” Strangely enough, the biggest problem that we have with that is the label by which they are advertised. Are these really the top five women that he has been with over the years? We’re a little bit doubtful when it comes to that, and for some key reasons.

1. Where is Zoey in this list? The press release makes no mention of Jennifer Morrison coming back. That may just be a technical issue, since the actress is so busy on “Once Upon a Time,” and thanks to that show shooting in Vancouver, it is a little bit harder to travel back to film a guest spot.

2. Also, is Jeannette really a top five girlfriend? We’re thrilled to see Abby Elliott again, but Ted really wasn’t with his last girlfriend (and a majorly psychotic one) for very long at all. Then again, given the fact that this episode only technically takes place a matter of weeks after they broke up, she may be the most fresh on his mind.

It’s also interesting that this promo previews a list, and Ted is seen with Robin in it, as well. Clearly, she’s got to be somewhere on that list, and we are still somewhat terrified that this guy is going to come up with a way to ruin everything for Robin and Barney.
