‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 16 preview: A new Cristin Milioti intro
The wait, “How I Met Your Mother” fans, is almost over! Monday night marks the 200th episode, and “How Your Mother Met Me” is set to be a pretty emotional, funny look at this woman’s past, and what eventually led to her getting an opportunity to meet Ted at the Farhampton Inn.
While CBS is still being coy about the content of this one, we do at least have something below that we find pretty cool: A new version of the theme song! This version of course has the still-unnamed Mother at the forefront, though you can also see some glimpses of her former roommate Cindy (Rachel Bilson) and also Darren (Andrew Rannells), the member of her band who was stirring up trouble earlier on in the wedding weekend. While it may sound weird that there are only two people in this intro that we know, that makes sense. Given that we only have around half an hour to work with this episode, do you really want producers to spend a ton of time giving us some content that we really don’t need?
At the end of this episode, we are sure that there are still going to be plenty of questions, given that we saw eight full years of Ted’s life, and only the cliff-notes version of hers. But, we just have to take the good for whatever it is right now, and rejoice that we have that. After all, The Mother could have still been presented to us as some sort of ghostly entity who we never got to know at all.
