‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Prepare to meet 2nd ex for Mark Harmon’s Gibbs
For those of you who have been long awaiting the arrival of Gibbs’ second ex-wife on “NCIS,” otherwise known as the one that so many know very little about, we come to you today bearing some good news: She will be arriving as a part of the show at some point in the future.
Unfortunately, you’re going to have to wait at least for a little while longer. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Gary Glasberg confirmed that he has plans to bring this woman to life on the show … but you’re going to be waiting until next season for more details:
“I can promise you that [the mystery wife] is probably going to get touched on in Season 12 … I have a little tiny space on my Dry Erase board for stories for next season, and that’s already up there.”
The biggest thing that is known about this woman right now is that she is a redhead, and that could restrict the casting somewhat … unless they just cast someone who decides a little later on to die their hair. (Fun fact: Darby Stanchfield plays Gibbs’ first ex, and she also happens to play an ex of Rick’s on “Castle.”)
Has the show been officially renewed just yet? Not exactly, but this is one of those renewals that just about everyone knows is coming. Despite some fan criticism, the ratings are still strong enough to make it the most-watched drama on TV, and also in recent weeks the highest-rated show in its timeslot, over the likes of “Agents of SHIELD,” “The Biggest Loser,” Fox comedies, and “The Originals.” There are some contracts that need to be worked out whenever you get this late in a show’s run, but we have no doubt that “NCIS” as a series will return.
What do you think about meeting Gibbs’ other ex, and who do you think is right for the role? Let us know below.

I use the age frame of 11ish because the child would be Gibbs from a last encounter before the divorce, which you figure had to be the first year of the show 11 yeas ago.

To be Gibbs’ kid, they’d have to be be nearer to 20. Stephanie was his last ex-wife and he was in the midst of that divorce when he first met Tony in ‘Baltimore’, so that was around 2001. Gibbs was seeing Jenny before that (1996ish) and was married to Diane before that . As Fornell married Diane after her divorce(from Gibbs) and their daughter, Emily, is around 18, Gibbs must’ve been married to Diane in early 1993. That leaves only a brief period when he could’ve married ex number one before that(Shannon and Kelly were killed 1991 and Gibbs joined NIS in 1992 and was single then) or the time between Jenny dumping him for the job and him meeting and marrying Stephanie(1998-) so………?!?!
I have always assumed that #1 was Ginger (Mimi Kusyk?), the lawyer from Abby’s ‘stalker’ episode – there was definitely a history there and it would explain rule #13 “Never, ever involve a lawyer” !
:-)
PS. Tony needs more storylines!

I really like Hollis Mann, I am hopeing she comes and says she is going through her “second divorce” that she spoke about in “Kill Chain” and tells Gibbs she wants to return to him and remarry because she feels he is finally over dealing with Shannon and Kelly. There have been no flashbacks on Shannon or Kelly from Gibbs this season!

Like your idea NCIS fan although the child would probably need to be slightly younger to properly show Gibbs` prowess with children. Also, I`d really like to bring that kid Zach(from Honor Code) back to see how he is now. He`d be 14-ish. Please give DiNozzo some good storylines and proper screen time.

Would love to see ex-wife number 2. Since we see Gibbs great relationship with kids – would love to see the ex come back with a 10-11 year old son or daughter.
We have no clue about their relationship prior to the divorce. So anything can happen.

Can`t wait, Love Bishop. Show is SO much better without bitchy Ziva to ruin it. Think this will be totally fab. Mark, Michael, Sean, David, Emily and Pauley will act it wonderfully as always. Never was a huge fan of Rocky Carroll`s Vance. Much preferred Jenny. LONG LIVE NCIS
