ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: See some Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever fun

With “Castle” season 6 on a hiatus in terms of airing new episodes, why not at least take a minute or two and see what some of the actors are up to on the set? There is no rest for the weary when it comes to Nathan Fillion and company, as they were still hard at work this week getting ready some new footage that will air on ABC in 2014. Not only that, but they have some of the video evidence to prove it.

In what is a pretty fun little clip that you can see on his official WhoSay page, Fillion basically showing off a fun little exchange between Jon Huertas (Esposito) and Seamus Dever (Ryan) that is focusing all about how these two have come up with a brand new way of communication for one another via text messaging. It’s a completely silly little bit of fun that was probably crafted when they were preparing for filming at some point. These little moments where you have downtime are frequent in the world of production, mostly since it’s the land of the “hurry up and wait” mentality.

But we’re not going to just give you a link to a social-media video here. Who also wants some Ryan / Esposito scoop? In addition to doing plenty more investigating in the new year, we’re certainly getting to the point now where Ryan is going to become a dad. Given the timeline of the show, you know that it won’t be long now until there is an episode all about that story. On the Esposito front, it is hard not to imagine that the show will not venture back into his relationship with Lanie now that the two have been at least a little more open on the subject of the present state of their relationship. “Castle” will return on Monday, January 6 following the conclusion of “The Bachelor,” but in case you missed it for whatever reason, there are some episodes that will be aired in a much different order than they were originally conceived.
